August Förster is a German factory producing pianos and grand pianos of high and professional quality. The factory has maintained long-standing, best traditions in the production of keyboards since its foundation in 1859. Sergei Prokofiev preferred August Förster instruments, and in 1937 he made a special visit to the factory to purchase a grand piano. Giacomo Puccini wrote the operas Tosca and Madama Butterfly while working at the August Förster piano. The August Förster factory is proud of its collaboration with the Liege Conservatory. Pianist Larry Fine noted in his book “The Piano Book” that August Forster instruments have enormous performance capabilities and excellent sound quality.
